I have been plotting, planning, scheming on ways to save money since I’m getting ready to open Sky’s Limit CrossFit on June 4th. I look on craigslist, eBay and other places online constantly looking for a better deal on everything. I watch videos that Zach Even-Esh posts on YouTube and the CrossFit Journal all the time. My biggest take away from his knowledge is that you don’t have to have a bunch of new crap in your gym to get your clients good results. So far I’ve saved about 3k by getting equipment second hand. Something I’ve found out is that a lot of used equipment is like new because it hardly gets used! I got 650lbs of plates, a 12 foot DB rack, and plate tree for $200! The weights were .25 per lb! That is huge as a pills business owner or if you’re just looking to build your own garage gym.
