“Jackie for Joplin” at CrossFit 816

Saturday, a few of us headed up to CrossFit 816 in Pleasant Valley to participate in their fundraiser WOD, benefiting the city of Joplin and their tornado victims. They chose “Jackie” for the workout: 1,000 meter row, 50 thrusters, and 30 pull-ups. They had a great turnout, with not only their own members, but lots of representation from other KC-area CrossFit gyms, with over $2,000 raised. It was great to meet the owners and coaches at CrossFit 816 – they were fantastic hosts and have a great box. We are looking forward to future events where the Kansas City CrossFit community can get together for fun, competition, and workouts for great causes.

Check out the recap of “Jackie for Joplin” on CrossFit 816′ site.
